CCII, ICF Submit MoU to Nat’l Assembly for Ibadan State

The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, in collaboration with the Ibarapa Consultative Forum(ICF), on Wednesday, disclosed that it had submitted a memorandum to the National Assembly for the creation of Ibadan State, punchng.com reported.
The President-General of the council, Ajeniyi Ajewole, announced this at a press conference held at the Ibadan House, Oke-Aremo, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
He stressed that the creation of the state is overdue and called on all and sundry to support it.
Ajewole said,“We are calling for the creation of Ibadan State. CCII, in collaboration with the Ibarapa Consultative Forum, has submitted a memorandum to the National Assembly seeking the creation of Ibadan, which is overdue.
“And we have all that it takes to be a state in terms of human resources and others. When you are talking about business, Ibadan has a lot of engineers. And thank God we are getting cooperation from Oke-Ogun and Oyo. We have even heard a series of meetings on that.
“Ibarapa is fully with us. They are supporting the creation of Ibadan.” The CCII President General confirmed.
