ALAAFINATE: Senator Buhari Congratulates Alaafin-Designate, Oyo People

Following the emergence of the 46th Alaafin of Oyo, the senator representing Oyo North, Dr. Buhari Abdulfatai, has congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade, and the good people of the Oyo kingdom on the appointment of the new monarch.

In a congratulatory message issued by the lawmaker and made available to journalists in the early hours of today by Senator Buhari, the lawmaker lauded Owoade’s emergence.

According to Sen. Buhari,”His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owoade, has been ordained by His Creator to be the next Alaafin, and so the good people of Oyo City should, as a matter of necessity, support Oba Owoade in the efforts to take Oyo to the next level.

Buhari maintained that the record set by the late Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi-III on the traditional institution of Yoruba land should be sustained by Oba Owoade, being a frontline monarch in southwestern Nigeria.

Senator Buhari prayed that Alaafin Owoade shall reign longer and healthier with peace of mind on the throne of his forefathers.
