Senator Buhari to Deliver 32nd World Press Freedom Lecture, Bag Prestigious Guillermo Cano Media Award Tomorrow

The senator representing the good people of Oyo North Senatorial District, Dr Buhari Abdulfatai, will deliver the 32nd edition of the World Press Freedom lecture organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), South West Zone, tomorrow, 7th May, 2025.
In a press release issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Alhaji Semiu Azeez, the epoch-making event will be held at Dapo Aderogba Hall, Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
The theme of the lecture, according to NUJ, is “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Press Freedom and Media”, and this will be scholarly delivered by the lawmaker between 11am and 12noon.
According to Alhaji Azeez, after the lecture, the leadership of the Union in the zone comprising Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti States will also confer an International Guillermo Cano Media Award on Distinguished Senator Buhari in appreciation of his consistency in the defence and promotion of press freedom over the years.
“Loyalists and lovers of Senator Buhari are expected to be part of the event tomorrow, as highlighted above,” Alhaji Azeez said.
