PHOTOS: Ibadan North Chairmanship, Councillorship Candidates Pay Homage to Alhaji BAO Oladeji

Standard-bearers in Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), during the 2024 local council polls, recently embarked on a solidarity visit to the chairman of the Apex Leaders of the party in the local government, Alhaji Bello Oladeji BAO, in commemoration of his 85th birthday, held on Tuesday, December 18, at his residence in Ibadan.
The critical stakeholders and team of honorables led by the chairmanship candidate of the party, Hon. Adedayo Adeniyi, celebrated the respected leader. He extended his gratitude to the leader on behalf of himself, the vice chairperson, and the councillorship candidates.
Adedayo recalled,”Alh. BAO toured all the wards during the electioneering campaign that would have been won convincingly by a majority of the party candidates if the Seyi Makinde-led administration did not engage in massive rigging that hindered the flag bearers from emerging.
Hon. Afeez Bello Mabinuori anchored the special prayer session for Alh. BAO on his successes and achievements in life. Also, in honour and remembrance of the late federal lawmaker, Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi Jagaban, the house also kept him in their prayers.
While appreciating the visiting honorables, Alh. BAO highlighted that the support that he offered to all the candidates in the 2024 local government election in Ibadan North was his duty as the leader of the party in the local government.
“I support whomever that is aiming for progress. Yes, I don’t go against anyone seeking progress. If anyone is not happy with one’s progress, will he also achieve progress?. All of you should see that contest as a foundation that you will be building upon. You’re preparing the ground for 2027. You’ve all known the challenges that came your way during the electioneering campaign.
Alh. BAO continued,”I was twice in your shoes when I contested against the chairmanship candidate of the ruling People’s Democratic Party then. I pray and wish you all success. You all shall keep glowing and evolving dynamically. In spite of forgetting the good deeds I have contributed to your progress, you were reminding me by showing gratitude.
“On behalf of my family, followers, and supporters, and our great party, All Progressives Congress (APC), I am incredibly grateful to you all, Alh. BAO stated.
